Welcome to Heaven & Healing Podcast. Formerly known as Moon and Back Podcast, this was once a place of astrology, yoga, new age spirituality and self-healing. In October 2021, I opened my heart to Jesus Christ and accepted Him as my Lord and Savior later that year. By December, I was convicted by the Holy Spirit to rebrand my podcast and denounce new age spirituality as I officially declared my identity in Christianity. On February 22, 2022, Heaven & Healing was officially born. On Heaven & Healing, I share testimonies from others who have been saved by Christ - from other former new agers, to former witches, former addicts, former atheists and so much more. I also bring on Biblical scholars to share knowledge of the history, context, and meaning of Scripture. Additionally discussed are experiences from my own life, political commentary and cultural discourse as it all relates to God and His Word. Jackson was both a user and seller of drugs, which resulted in multiple arrests. Eventually, he landed in prison where he had a roommate that was full of the joy of the Lord.
One night he attended the jail church service and was touched by the Holy Spirit in a profound way – it was that night he gave his life to the Lord, right there amidst the other inmates.
His story is wonderfully encouraging for parents who are praying for their prodigal child, as Jackson’s were all along. Jackson is married to Alexis, who was last week’s Testimony Tuesday participant.
Watching their stories back to back, it is beautiful to see how God was working on both of them simultaneously to ultimately bring them together and lead to the eventual birth of their daughter.

I was entrenched in New Age practices and ideologies for nearly a decade after consulting a medium for the first time when my grandmom tragically died in 2014. This quickly spiraled me into tarot, crystals, reiki, yoga, astrology and more. I was a witch and didn't even know it!
But despite how many spiritual practices I had, despite all the "self-healing" work I did - it was only ever a bandaid on a gunshot wound. I still had severe depression and anxiety. Until one night in 2021 when I came to the end of myself, ready to end my life, when I called out to Jesus Christ to "save me."

She had a stealing addiction, she went to therapy, took antidepressants, smoked weed, got arrested multiple times, was traumatized by a relationship and ultimately fell into the deception of New Age spirituality. Listen to hear how she came back to the faith by the grace of God.

Me and Naela were in fellowship all weekend on THIS very topic! And we agreed much of our discussion would be edifying for those with ears to hear.
We will address the following:
• Contending for God’s promise: clinging to the fringe of His garment, insisting on even the breadcrumbs of a miracle, and walking on water
• Active faith vs passive faith: not only praying for, believing for
• Suffering with Christ vs attacks of the enemy and self-imposed suffering: understanding suffering in a biblical context rather than an experiential context
• The Pharisee spirit of the church that has turned “faith” into a dirty word; radical, biblical faith should not offend a follower of Christ because it’s not offensive to Jesus!
• Emphasis on faith all throughout the Bible; how God has always used our participation in fulfillment of His plan
• The finished work on the cross and becoming what He paid for
The devil’s #1 goal is to steal, kill and destroy your FAITH! Don’t let him lull you to sleep by tempting you with lies that hinder the freedom in Christ He died for you to have!

Tara got sucked into New Age spirituality after her best friend suffered a horrific death. Tarot cards, pendulums, law of attraction, chakras, crystals, yoga, mediums - she did it all. Until Jesus.
Tara was consulting with the ‘spirit of her best friend’ on a daily basis for over 9 years… or so she thought. It turns out, this was actually a demon that had been capitalizing on her trauma and wreaking havoc on her life all along.
